Siena’s 5K PWS Walk 2014 (4th Annual!!) October 18, 2014

What?

The purpose of this walk is to raise money for Siena’s Special Needs Trust. This event is open to anyone who wishes to raise awareness of Prader-Willi Syndrome and support Siena Schoenberger. All proceeds directly benefit Siena’s Special Needs Trust, this is not a non-profit event and does not benefit Siena’s HUGS Foundation. Siena’s Trust helps pay for medical needs, therapies, physical activities, and various other items that help Siena thrive.

When?

Saturday, October 18, 2014 (rain or shine)
9:00 AM: Registration
10:00 AM: Walk starts

Cost?

WITHOUT SHIRT : $10 for participants ages 10 and over
WITH SHIRT: $25 ages 10 and over

ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION ENDS October 6th if ordering a T-Shirt and October 16th if not ordering a T-Shirt!
** there will only be a limited number of shirts available to participants who do not pre-order

DAY OF WALK REGISTRATION: $15 for participants age 10 and over
**free for children under the age of 10 PLEASE

Every registered walker will receive complimentary snacks and beverages AND BREAKFAST served by Papa Bob, as well as ONE FREE raffle ticket, which can be used to win raffle prizes. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase.

What is Prader-Willi Syndrome?

PWS is a disorder of chromosome 15, Prevalence: 1:12,000- 15,000 (both sexes, all races) Major characteristics: hypotonia, hypogonadism, hyperphagia, cognitive impairment, difficult behaviors. 4 year-old, Siena, was diagnosed with PWS in March 2011. Raising awareness about Prader-Willi Syndrome will help people understand this genetic disorder and could possibly bring us closer to finding a cure!!
